Our Story

Often times asked, “Who is Harvey?” The Harvey girls (Jacee & Mae) are two sisters who are in love with music. Growing up, with only a year between them, there was always time for singing and performing. Whether it be on their living room coffee table or at church, these two sisters quickly became "the Harvey girls" to all who knew them. Music was a big part of their childhood, both picking up piano as young as 3 and guitar and drums at 7 & 8, they knew music would be in their lives for the long haul. As the years went by their talent grew. Both girls are also songwriters, continuing to build their diverse song portfolios, solo and with the help of other wonderful writers they've been blessed to meet in the music scene. Both girls love listening to all genres of music, but have found influence in Pasty Cline, Johnny Cash, Jason Isbell and oddly the Kings of Leon. The girls always seem to stand out among those they play with having a female lead vocalist and a female drummer - recently adding a female fiddle player, Jennifer Hall, they're full of girl power. The girls are joined by two equally talented men as well. Tanner Churchwell from Big Spring, TX on the lead guitar and Jacob Wayne from Aledo, TX jams the bass. Churchwell has been playing guitar since the age of 8, his influences range from Korn to KISS to Stevie Ray Vaughn to Santana. Wayne, though he hasn’t been in the music scene very long, is working hard to make a name for himself, influenced by someone who isn't actually a musician himself, his Pa, is always his reminder to work hard and strive for greatness. Hall has been playing violin for 17 years. She fell in love with it the first time she heard it and wanted to be that inspiration to someone else. Classically trained, she also teaches and studies at UTPB. Based in the Permian Basin of Texas, specifically Midland, Keeping Harvey Company released their freshman, self-titled album November 2, 2018. They had two CD releases to thank the individuals who sponsored their journey this far. One being at the Train Car Cigar Bar in Big Spring, Tx and the second at the Beer Garden in Midland, Tx -- both venues being the band members favorite places to visit when they aren't playing. After two years of recording and producing at Mud Rock Studio in Midland, the 7 song album is ready to be purchased and streamed. You can join them at their live shows by following them on Facebook and Instagram where they post their dates and other upcoming events!
